I actually made this decision a few months ago, but I neglected to make a formal announcement about it.

Therefore, let it officially be known that, from here on out, this website will have:

• No ads
• No affiliate or spam links
• No donations or income
• No funding whatsoever from outside sources

Over the years, I’ve tried certain “monetization strategies,” including hosting ads and accepting donations, but that is now over – and over for good.

Why?

Well, a couple of reasons.

First, I’m about sick to death of reading news from websites that are getting paid by governments, NGOs, billionaire oligarchs, “information warfare” organizations, propaganda campaigns, and the rest. You may not like what I write, but at least you’ll know it’s me who is saying it and not my sponsors.

Secondly, while I do appreciate all the people who have supported me and this website over the years, I feel that it’s better now that you keep your money or spend it on more worthwhile causes.

If you’re looking for strong, independent media to support, I recommend Shadowproof, Wikileaks, The Canary (UK), Alex Berenson’s Substack, Mint Press, The Grayzone, and whatever Whitney Webb is doing. Again, I have zero financial or personal connections with any of these outfits, and the people running them have no fucking clue who I am.

Trackers/Cookies/Etc

Last, but not least, as much as I really love doing investigations and reporting, it’s far too easy for me to let these things swallow up all of my time, and there are other things for me to do right now that I feel are even more essential. Therefore, I don’t want to be tempted by any income, no matter how small, from my journalistic activities.

This website is hosted by wordpress.com, which I pay them to do. I have not installed any trackers or widgets or anything else, but wordpress.com may have, so I cannot vouch for what they are doing. All I can say is that I personally have not activated or installed anything that monitors what visitors do.

Furthermore, if you choose to sign up to subscribe to this website (to get all new posts emailed to you) at the bottom of the page, I cannot see your name or email address or anything else, and I certainly can’t sell on your information or do anything else with it. All that is handled in a “blind” fashion by wordpress.com.

Lastly, say what you want in the comments as long as it isn’t spam (which rarely makes it past the filters anyway) or advocating some kind of horrific violence on someone. Unlike most governments and social media platforms, I do not fucking censor people who disagree with me.

This blog may be a tiny island in a sea of information, but at least here you can trust that everything is transparent and above board.
