I was browsing through this Argentinian daily when I read the most amazing piece of news:

Una niña de 12 años de nacionalidad rumana hizo cumbre en la cima del cerro Aconcagua, en la provincia de Mendoza, y estableció así un nuevo récord mundial al convertirse en la persona más joven en lograr esa proeza. La niña Dor Geta Popescu, de 12 años y 8 meses, escaló el pasado sábado el pico andino de 6.960 metros, el más elevado de los hemisferios sur y occidental, y el más alto del mundo que no pertenece a la cordillera de Himalaya, y está situado en el departamento de Las Heras, al noreste de Mendoza.

In case your Spanish is a little rusty, this is saying that a 12-year-old Romanian girl named Dor Geta Popescu climbed the Aconcagua Mountain, the tallest peak in the entire Western Hemisphere at about 7000 meters altitude. Wow!
