Dor Geta Popescu

I was browsing through this Argentinian daily when I read the most amazing piece of news:

In case your Spanish is a little rusty, this is saying that a 12-year-old Romanian girl named Dor Geta Popescu climbed the Aconcagua Mountain, the tallest peak in the entire Western Hemisphere at about 7000 meters altitude. Wow!

This girl is truly amazing. If you can read Romanian, check out her awesome blog. She isn’t just an accomplished climber but works with other children to teach them to learn courage by climbing peaks in Romania with her.

Amazing girl, an amazing record-breaking climb, and a wonderful inspiration to kids (and adults!) everywhere. Click here for information about her in English.

Awesome!
