August 15 – The Assumption/Sleep of Mary

In my book (and here on the blog) there are a couple of holidays I failed to mention. The reasons are multiple: I am not a member of the Orthodox church, likewise I was not raised Catholic either, and these are fairly “new” holidays. Wish I had bought more of these delicious gems as they were fabulously … Continue reading Poza Zilei: Raspberries!

Word of the Day: Iobag

Today I was idly browsing through what has to be my all-time favorite gossip rag, Stiri De Cluj (Cluj News), where every minor occurrence is a scandalous, breathtaking event, when I came across this fine, fine piece of journalism, wherein an anonymous spokesperson of the Youth Wing of the PNL party lashes out at the Lord of Cluj, Sorin Apostu: Sorin Apostu, in loc sa … Continue reading Word of the Day: Iobag
