Over the years, I’ve enjoyed talking about some of Romania’s amazing caves, including the super cool Scarisoara Ice Cave and the Cave of Bones. Today’s link goes to a post from a Romanian (in English) about the Cave of Bears:
So… how much do you like caves? Because if you’re the kind of person who is even remotely interested in what’s going on underground, you’ll love this place!
Definitely worth a click for the gorgeous photos of the bones from some now-extinct bears. One of the “halls” in the cave is named for Emil Racovita, probably the most famous Romanian explorer and speleologist (cave explorer) who ever lived and an all-around super cool guy.
Awesome!
