Arieşeni the Stone Country

Oh my goodness… well if you speak Romanian, you can read an interview I did with a very nice man from Impact News here.

It’s an extremely lengthy interview so I don’t think I’ll be translating it in its entirety into English. I did want to see if Google Translate could do the job adequately and… well just click on the link to see the hilarious results, including:

MM: Have you ever seen elsewhere in the country until 2002?

Sam: My friends had a car company advertising and we were everywhere, and Brasov, and Bran, and Arieşeni the Stone Country…

LOL!

Basically it’s the same information I’ve talked about many times before, including about how I first came to Romania, what I think about this country, my encounter with the Bucharest policemen in 2010 that sparked this blog and then book, etc, etc. I think you can still get the gist of it with the Google Translate version if you don’t speak Romanian and really want to hear more details of my life :P

But yes, Arieseni was very beautiful ;) Normally though it’s referred to as Tara Motilor I do believe LOL.

Much thanks to Mr. Mihnea “Atomic Systems” Maruta (that’s how Google translates his name). Very nice guy and turns out he’s a neighbor of mine here in Gruia Cartierul Minunilor in the unicorn-infused metropolis of Cluj-Napoca.

Oh and my apologies for the grammar mistakes. I was incredibly exhausted when we did it and my brain was barely functioning. I was hoping he was going to clean it up for me but frankly it’s a miracle it even came out half as well as it did!
